Our family needed a spontaneous weekend getaway to escape the city and recharge. We were thrilled that a room was still available at Fraser River Lodge but we lucked out that they were hosting a lovely family staycation package that included s'mores, dinner, breakfast, and a movie night with snacks. It ended up being the most special, lovely getaway! The s'mores kit was so special and our daughter had her first s'more. The three-course meal was so delicious and a great opportunity to enjoy a special dinner with our toddler daughter, in a family-friendly space. Following the dinner, guests were given snack bags with stickers and toys for the kids and some very yummy savory/sweet popcorn. We ended the night in the comfiest, cozy beds and felt refreshed in the morning. The views were magical, the staff were great, we already can't wait to come back! Thanks so much!

5/5 We recently took advantage of their Valentine's Day package which included a 5 course special menu, overnight stay in one of their stunning rooms overlooking the Fraser River and Cheam Mountain range along with a buffet breakfast the next day. We have stayed here before and have never been disappointed with the food, service or accommodation. If you want to spend some relaxing time out in the Fraser Valley this is the place to go. I’m a Vancouver wedding photographer who has photographed over 250 weddings in the last 13 years–so I’ve seen a LOT of wedding venues! When my husband and I were planning our wedding 7 years ago, there was no question what venue we would choose–I know FRL was the only venue for me! As a bride, I had an amazing experience with the wedding venue and our guests adored the food. As a photographer, I always enjoy working with Wendy and her team at FRL. We originally planned a 60 person wedding for our November 12 wedding. Once the pandemic hit we decided to cancel as we are from out of province along with all of our guests. Wendy and all of the lodge staff were incredibly accommodating and supportive throughout this process, from when it was going to be a 60 person wedding through our cancellation and then our change to an elopement. The lodge itself far surpassed our expectations. The honeymoon suite was beautiful, clean, cozy, and such a treat to stay in. We had 4 meals during our stay and each one was incredibly delicious, my husband and I and our two guests have been raving about the food ever since. We would go back to the lodge in a heartbeat and recommend this venue to any couple who is looking for a quality, professional experience in the beautiful mountains. Each staff member knew exactly what was going on, checked in regularly to be sure we had every we needed, and eased our minds when the new COVID restrictions came into place. I booked the Fraser River Lodge in the Spring of 2019, for a November 2020 wedding. At the onset of the COVID19 pandemic, I naturally began panicking as a 2020 bride, and Wendy and her team were amazing at assuring me that no matter what happened, they were going to do everything they could- and they did that and more. When my numbers dropped, they accommodated it. When restrictions were put in place, they helped me still create an amazing day. When I lost my "something old" aka my mother in law's engagement and wedding band and realized it at 1am the night of the wedding, they went above and beyond and had everyone searching high and low for it. It was eventually found in a trash can, and I am not exaggerating when I say I cried at the amazing efforts they went to to make the day special and amazing. The Lodge itself is gorgeous, with beautiful rooms and a breathtaking view. When telling people where I was getting married, the first words out of their mouth were "That venue is gorgeous", followed almost immediately by "the food is the best I've ever eaten" and I can agree. Their chef is top notch, and their varied menus and accommodations for allergies will have something for everyone. They offer multiple location options, so even if we had rain on our wedding day, I had no concerns and knew we could just move it inside, which was just as gorgeous. I can't overstate how fantastic Wendy and her team are, and I would recommend the Fraser River Lodge without hesitation.
