Ready for the Camera

Fishing with Shelley & Courtney is a unique sport fishing show filmed at some of the best fishing destinations in British Columbia. We hosted Shelley and Courtney and their TV crew with producer Owen Bird at our lodge in April 2002. Our fishing destination was the famous Chilliwack-Vedder River, about 10 minutes from our fishing lodge.

We've targeted steelhead trout with our steelhead pro guides John and Mike. The weather was outstanding and so was the fishing - 9 steelheads up to 16 lbs. in less than 2 days of fishing. There was hardly anybody on the river and we've had basically the river for us alone on a 15 mile stretch. The TV team was surprised about HOW good our guides know this river.

As a matter of fact, our pro guide Mike fished the Chilliwack-Vedder River every single day of last years season, except May, when Steelhead fishing is fly-fishing only and our pro fly guides take over this fantastic river. This is the secret of our success - having the best guide for each individual water and method. We've walked and waded through the crystal clear water, using the best and freshest "bait" possible. The sun was shining and the view of the surrounding mountains and glaciers was just breathtaking.

Another highlight of the show was cooking. Cooking took place on the sundeck of the lodge with our spectacular 20 mile view in the background. This was one of the rare occasions, when Warren lifted some of his gourmet secrets in front of the TV cameras. We are looking forward in hosting Shelley and Courtney again for another great show of "Fishing with Shelley and Courtney".
