We've had the incomparable pleasure to host a new series of the TSN TV show of "Fins & Skins Classic Adventures" at our lodge. Our celebrity guest this year was baseball legend and Hall of Famer "Ferguson Jenkins". We fished the scenic Harrison River with it's green and clear waters for Chum- and Coho Salmon as well as the Chilliwack River for large Chinook Salmon and Coho. As everybody can see on the pictures, our success rate was fantastic.

Carl and John, who came with Fergie were busy making valuable contacts throughout our community of Chilliwack in order to promote the "Fergie Jenkins Foundation". A foundation solely dedicated to charity. Any donations and funds collected by selling Fergie's book "The Game is Easy - Life is Hard" went 100% to charity. It was very special for Chilliwack to have Fergie here and sign autographs and spend time with locals. He was also golfing at the Chilliwack Golf & Country Club. Fergie, Henry Waszczuck, the host of "Fins & Skins Classic Adventures", Carl & John as well as the TSN film crew were invited to the local Chilliwack Chiefs hockey game as special guests and Henry and Fergie dropped the puck for the game.

We've met a great man, a celebrity down to earth, a good family man who loves his horses and cattle and we've had good talks about his farm down in the south. A man who fulfilled his dream of not only becoming a professional baseball player but one of the most successful baseball players of all times. Thank you very much Ferguson for the honour of spending 4 memorable days with us.
